Elizabethton businessman John Brumit, who was diagnosed last March with colorectal cancer, spoke candidly about his ordeal, including surgery and the enduring effects of chemotherapy, during the 2011 Carter County Relay for Life Kickoff Thursday evening at the Truman Clark Annex of the Carter County Health Department.
