Brown OKs fire fee
Gov. Jerry Brown signed off last week on a controversial budget bill that would charge a $ 150 fee on all structures in State Responsibility Areas for fire protection. Aside from Angels Camp, San Andreas and federally owned forest land, nearly all of Calaveras County sits in SRAs.
